Last week, I had the opportunity to visit The Samarthanam Trust.
And what a big day it was for UBH! We gifted 150 t-shirts as part of The BOGO (Buy One, Gift One) Project to young men and women.
This would have not been possible if you didn’t buy our shirts in the first place. We’re very grateful for your decision and more importantly, we’re humbled by the trust you have placed in us.
The Samarthanam Trust was founded in 1997 as an NGO working towards providing opportunities to enable persons with disabilities and the underserved.
Founded by Mr. Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar along with his schoolmate and childhood friend, Late Mr Nagesh SP, the NGO provides quality education, accommodation, nutritious food, vocational training and placement-based rehabilitation.
Since its inception, the NGO has educated over 11,000 children, rehabilitated almost 3000 women, processed 2.6 lakh tons of dry waste and trained over 12,000 young adults and has successfully placed 71% of them in mainstream jobs.
Samarthanam envisions to touch 100,000 lives by the year 2020. And United by Hope is glad to be able to contribute in a small manner to their lofty mission.
The 150 t-shirts we gifted at the trust, is hopefully the first step of a long and fulfilling journey.
We continue to remain steadfast in our promise to you - We will always drive the company towards making a positive impact for our communities and environment.
